Modern environmental certification in the spirit of sustainable development - basic information combined with workshops. During workshops students will work alone as well as in small groups. Classes will include certificates related to the implementation of sustainable development in institutions, including industry.

Modern environmental certification in the spirit of sustainable development - basic information combined with workshops. During workshops students will work alone as well as in small groups. Classes will include certificates related to the implementation of sustainable development in institutions, including industry, eg.:

• environmental management systems: ISO 14001 and EcoManagement and Audit Scheme (EMAS),

• green building certification like Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED) or Building Research Establishment Environmental Assessment Method (BREEAM).

Students work on short report and presentation concerning on solutions, recommendations and good practises used in certification of real institutions. Assessment is based on the studies created by students. The activity during the whole course and attendance is also taken into account.

- is aware of the political and socio-economic determinants of environmental certification;

- understands the need to look for new technologies.
