Pełny opis: |
The core element of the course is a comprehensive presentation of diverse sustainability indicators: aggregated indicators, structural indicators, and indicators at the local level. In particular, selected single-number indicators, country specific and EU structural indicators, and indicators for small communities are presented and discussed. Specific lectures are devoted to: measurement techniques, criticism on traditional measures of development, methods of economic valuation of non-market environmental goods and services. Research component includes evaluation and assessment of selected footprint indicators. |

Student knows how difficult it is to measure sustainability. Student understands the most popular and recommended sustainability indicators.
