Teaching methods:

Eclectic method -

elements of cognitive and bilingual methods and a postcommunication approach.

Intensive development of four basic language skills based on authentic materials - texts, films and recordings. Active work in pairs and small groups. Approach which enables individualization of teaching and learning methods.

Assessment methods and assessment criteria:

Obtaining credits entails:

-attendance (three absences per semester without any excuse are allowed)

- active participation in class

- homework assignments, essays, passing tests

Notes:

An Upper intermediate English course (B2) for students of the MIM Department as well as other Departments. General profile.

The main emphasis is laid on speaking and writing, understanding authentic materials and expanding vocabulary.
