(in Polish) Wykład wprowadza w temat bakteriologii, naturalnej mikroflory człowieka oraz infekcji bakteryjnych, wirusowych, grzybiczych i parazytologicznych oka i błon śluzowych, a także strategii zapobiegania im i leczenia. Omówiona jest bioróżnorodność metaboliczna bakterii oraz ich rola w ekosystemach. Wykład wzbogacony jest o wprowadzenie w biologię ewolucyjną widzenia. Prezentowane są również problemy związane z alergiami na grzyby.

(in Polish) Celem zajęć jest zapoznanie słuchaczy z zasadami przekazu informacji o prowadzonych badaniach i uzyskiwanych wynikach. Tematyka zajęć obejmie typowe formy komunikacji wewnątrz środowiska naukowego, formy przekazu adresowanego do szerszych kręgów odbiorców.Będzie także mowa o środkach wzbogacających jakość i atrakcyjność przekazu. W czasie zajęć przewidziane są ćwiczenia praktyczne.

Kontynuacja praktycznej nauki wykonywania badania optometrycznego obejmująca pomiar amplitudy i wydajności akomodacji, diagnozowanie i optyczne korygowanie zaburzeń widzenia obuocznego, badanie optometryczne dla celów specjalnych (przesiewowe, okresowe, poprzedzające dobór soczewek kontaktowych). Przyjęto schemat badania zgodny ze standardem opracowanym przez Polskie Towarzystwo Optometrii i Optyki.

The lecture defines concepts and describes methods used to solve problems that arise due to interactions between the visual system and the environment, such as:

• optimization of lighting of the workstation,

• selection of eye protection depending on the physical and chemical conditions of the workplace,

• diagnosis, therapy and prevention of occupational diseases affecting the organ of vision,

• educating patients on how to use devices equipped with screens to put minimal strain on the organ of vision.

The course covers basic information about proper binocular vision and its possible disorders and related ailments. Students learn the procedures and basic equipment used in testing, improving or restoring binocular vision. They learn how to diagnose patients with accompanying or paralytic strabismus and what are possible scenarios for further therapeutic procedures.
