Lectures and classes focused on presenting the fundamental issues related to the technology of ceramic resources and technological processes applied in the production of selected inorganic materials and products, obtained from rock materials – processing operations: mechanical and hydraulic enrichment and inward processing, mechanical formation of products, drying, shredding and grinding, thermal processing.

Brief description

Lectures include questions related with designing, conducting of prospecting, exploration and documentation of mineral deposits. It is final element of cycle lectures about deposits as natural phenomena and objects at specific economic value.

These issues include the methodological basis for reporting (documentation) the results of geological works: prospecting and exploration, and other geological activities below the surface (i.e. different geological documentation) of the work completed according to Polish Geological and Mining Law.

During the course students present preliminary assumptions and a review of the literature connected with the subject. They also present the results of their own research and the main tasks of their thesis. During the presentation (in the presence of the promoter), discussed are the main assumptions and ideas as well as the planned practical work.

Legal basis and essence of assessments of environmental impact in terms of research methodology and procedures required in Poland; types of documentation issued for the purpose of environmental impact assessment. Discussion of the environmental impacts of exemplary projects: mining, hydraulic engineering, linear construction, landfills and observing systems at various stages of the formation of the project, in particular with regard to the monitoring of inanimate nature.

(in Polish) Omawiane są podstawowe metody badań instrumentalnych (z wyłączeniem metod dyfrakcji rentgenowskiej) stosowanych w szeroko rozumianych naukach mineralogicznych do analizy nieorganicznych surowców mineralnych. Prezentowane są podstawy teoretyczne metod, budowa aparatury analitycznej, preparatyka i praktyka analityczna oraz zasady interpretacji otrzymanych danych.

Lectures include questions related with the stages of mine design and mining methods. It is final element of cycle lectures about deposits as natural phenomena and economy industrial objects.

The course discusses formal and legal issues related to:

1) the stages of mine design,

2) the rules of performing of mining works and providing supplies of mineral deposits using various underground, borehole and open pit methods and

3) activities related to the liquidation (closing) of the mine and reclamation of mining areas according to Geological and Mining Law.
