Brief description

The course is focused on the design of a simple hydrotechnical construction such is the broad-crested wire and operation of hydrotechnical constructions serving management, protection and safe use of water resources and allowing for efficient water management.

As part of the practicum the broad-crested weir is made, based on the results of calculations of the width, filtration under the structure is checked. For the implementation of the project is used program to support engineering design - AutoCAD, a program to perform calculations - MS Excel and an application for creating documents - MS Word.

The course also presents data on various types of damming constructions, e.g. dams, weirs, water closures and vent waters; conditions of their location, including data on the soil and rock basement, as well as materials used in hydrotechnical constructions.

Brief description

Magistranci, po przeprowadzeniu badań i obserwacji terenowych podczas praktyki magisterskiej, posiadają materiał do sporządzenia mapy dokumentacyjnej, geomorfologicznej, geologicznej i hydrogeologicznej w skali 1:10 000. Referaty prezentują:

- materiały z przeprowadzonych badań terenowych,

- program badań laboratoryjnych,

- wyniki badań laboratoryjnych i ich interpretację,

- przygotowane części pracy magisterskiej.
