The subject includes subsequent themes: syntactic categories, names, definitions, relations, calculus of propositions, logic of quantifiers, theory of names and logical basis of interpretation in law.

Classes are devoted to the practical application of the content provided in class.

(in Polish) Celem wykładu jest przekazanie wiedzy na temat przekształceń niektórych polskich instytucji ustrojowych i prawnych na tle powszechnym, aby student mógł lepiej zrozumieć uwarunkowania współczesnego ustroju i prawa.

Jednocześnie materiał wykładu wprowadzać ma pojęcia prawne, elementy rozumowania prawniczego oraz wskazywać na niezbędne w pracy prawnika wartości kultury prawnej.

(in Polish) Przedmiot ma charakter propedeutyczny. Celem wykładu jest wprowadzenie studentów do problematyki wolności i praw jednostek. Przedmiotem wykładu jest geneza regulacji krajowych i międzynarodowych określających relację jednostki do państwa, wyjaśnienie fundamentalnych pojęć z zakresu praw człowieka, a także zapoznanie studentów z podstawowym orzecznictwem Trybunału Konstytucyjnego, Europejskiego Trybunału Praw Człowieka oraz Trybunału Sprawiedliwości Unii Europejskiej. Celem wykładu jest ponadto omówienie wolności i praw mających szczególne znaczenie dla tych gałęzi prawa, które będą objęte programem studiów w kolejnych latach – m.in. prawa do sądu i rzetelnego procesu, prawa do dobrej administracji, prawa do skutecznego środka odwoławczego, prawa do ochrony własności i innych praw majątkowych, wolności osobistej, wolności działalności gospodarczej, wolności słowa i prawa do prywatności.

The aim of the lecture is to provide students with understanding of basic concepts as well as basic ways in which law exists and functions in contemporary societies in order to prepare them to further studies on specific branches of law. The lecture presents theoretical legal concepts applicable in practice and problems of sources of law, system of law, interpretation of law and legal reasoning.

Mandatory subject for the first year of legal studied. It aims at introduction to the realm of legal notions and reasonings, as well as the systematic presentation of the legal discipline.

History of Roman law, its basic notions and institutions, as well their later (dis)continuations in the European legal tradition are historically and dogmatically presented.
