Brief description

(in Polish) Celem proseminariów jest zaprezentowanie idei mechaniki klasycznej będącej podstawą dalszego zrozumienia zjawisk i problemów stawianych przyszłym chemikom-inżynierom. Przedmiot stanowi praktyczną ilustrację i uzupełnienie zagadnień omawianych na stowarzyszonym wykładzie i w związku z tym nacisk położony jest na wzajemne oddziaływanie teorii i modeli matematycznych. Zajęcia obejmują między innymi następujące zagadnienia: kinematyka i dynamika cząstek, zasady zachowania w fizyce, prawa grawitacji, statyka i dynamika płynów, dynamika bryły sztywnej, drgania i fale, szczególna teoria względności. Szczególny nacisk położony jest na pokazanie, że wyniki obliczeń mają potencjalne zastosowanie w chemii stosowanej i technologii chemicznej.

(in Polish) Celem wykładu jest zaprezentowanie idei mechaniki klasycznej będącej podstawą dalszego zrozumienia zjawisk i problemów stawianych przyszłym chemikom-inżynierom. Przedmiot, w swym założeniu, stanowi wprowadzenie do zagadnień bardziej zaawansowanych poruszanych na przedmiotach kursowych i fakultatywnych w kolejnych latach studiów i obejmuje między innymi następujące zagadnienia: kinematyka i dynamika cząstek (równania ruchu, siły, oddziaływania), zasady zachowania w fizyce, prawa grawitacji, statyka i dynamika płynów, dynamika bryły sztywnej, drgania i fale, szczególna teoria względności.

Brief description

Fundamental laws of Nature, ruling the course of chemical processes, are presented in terms of both macroscopic properties of matter and at the atomic level. Within the macroscopic description, principal laws are explained which allow one to understand the directions and the final states of chemical processes, differences in their rates, as well as factors affecting the reaction course. This macroscopic description is confronted with the structure of matter at the microscopic level – the structure of atom and its electronic structure, determining chemical properties of the elements. Basic description of both properties of matter and its changes occurring at an atomic level is also given. Typical for this lecture is its elementary level, by assumption not invoking advanced mathematics, being aimed to reinforce the fundamental chemical knowledge necessary in more advanced chemistry studies.
