ECTS credit allocation (and other scores): 2.00 Basic information on ECTS credits allocation principles:
  • the annual hourly workload of the student’s work required to achieve the expected learning outcomes for a given stage is 1500-1800h, corresponding to 60 ECTS;
  • the student’s weekly hourly workload is 45 h;
  • 1 ECTS point corresponds to 25-30 hours of student work needed to achieve the assumed learning outcomes;
  • weekly student workload necessary to achieve the assumed learning outcomes allows to obtain 1.5 ECTS;
  • work required to pass the course, which has been assigned 3 ECTS, constitutes 10% of the semester student load.

Classes are devoted to present geographical diversity of contemporary tourism.

Full description: (in Polish)

The scope of the course is to discuss examples of new, developing trends in tourism worldwide. Case studies, based on different types of activities, use of tourism values and destinations are discussed. The COVID-19 pandemic and its influence on a number of destinations around the world are also to be addressed, together with showing how tourism places and spaces face this challenge.

Students are reading articles and discussing problems during the course.

Knowledge: A student knows trends of World tourism, specific of its most important forms and conditions of tourists flow.

Skills: A student can find and analyze quantitative and qualitative data on tourism.

Attitudes: A student is conscious of tourism environmental, economic and social impacts.

Assessment methods and assessment criteria: (in Polish)

One absence allowed;

Activity during classes (discussions, presentations) will be assessed.

If students are hardly engaging in the course, then a written test is a part of the assessment.
