  • the annual hourly workload of the student’s work required to achieve the expected learning outcomes for a given stage is 1500-1800h, corresponding to 60 ECTS;
  • the student’s weekly hourly workload is 45 h;
  • 1 ECTS point corresponds to 25-30 hours of student work needed to achieve the assumed learning outcomes;
  • weekly student workload necessary to achieve the assumed learning outcomes allows to obtain 1.5 ECTS;
  • work required to pass the course, which has been assigned 3 ECTS, constitutes 10% of the semester student load.

Short description:

The course introduces the students in the issues and techniques of cognitive-behavioral therapy in an advanced way.

Learning outcomes:

• in terms of knowledge

- be familiar with the extended knowledge about the classification of mental disorders and its symptomatology as well as be familiar with advanced therapeutic interventions (K_W13)

• in terms of skills

- be able to set therapeutic contact by using complex therapeutics methods (K_U01)

- be able to plan and conduct diagnosis with the interview and observation in an advance way (K_U02)

- be able to comprehensively evaluate the clinical studies in terms of their ethical side (K_U07)

- be able to remain critical of dignosis and therapy methods (K_U05)

• in terms of social competences

- is respectful of human diverisity due to their mental health status (K_K01)

- be able to use the knowledge to help others (K_K03)

- understand the need for supervision (K_K04)

Full description:

On the one hand the course introduces the students in the assumptions of cognitive-behavioral therapy and on the other hand the course introduces the students in the cognitive-behavioral therapy techniques and interventions in an advanced form. At first, the knowledge of main assumptions and constructs of cognitive-behavioral therapy will be presented in the course. Next, the cognitive-beavioral therapy techniques will be discussed in the course.
