ECTS credit allocation (and other scores):	3.00 Basic information on ECTS credits allocation principles: the annual hourly workload of the student’s work required to achieve the expected learning outcomes for a given stage is 1500-1800h, corresponding to 60 ECTS; the student’s weekly hourly workload is 45 h; 1 ECTS point corresponds to 25-30 hours of student work needed to achieve the assumed learning outcomes; weekly student workload necessary to achieve the assumed learning outcomes allows to obtain 1.5 ECTS; work required to pass the course, which has been assigned 3 ECTS, constitutes 10% of the semester student load. view allocation of credits

Short description:	The course aims to introduce the basics of investing in the capital market. During subsequent meetings, course participants will be introduced to capital market concepts, i.e. classification of financial instruments, supervisory institutions and market participants. In particular, the following will be presented: profitability and risk of financial investments, and basic measures of investment performance. The course will conclude with a presentation on how to manage investment risk, and the basics of investment portfolio construction.

Learning outcomes:	After the completion of the course the student: - be able to decide on the choice of instruments to invest in the capital market - find differences between equity and debt instruments - decide on the choice of investment - estimate the investment risk - apply derivatives to manage financial risk - compare investment performance - construct a portfolio of instruments with an assumed level of risk
Assessment methods and assessment criteria:	A pass in the form of a single-choice test in a remote form on an online platform. Possibility to increase the grade by one step for students who actively participate in the classes.
