Selected Problems of the Communication Theory

Classes will be devoted to discussing theoretical bases of communication theory with particular reference to the theory of orality, the role of the letter in the culture, proxemics and the issues connected with the mnemonics and cultural memory.

Classroom

Apart from theoretical bases also the possibilities of applying chosen elements of communication theory for analysis of specific implementations from the fields of literature and the fine arts will be indicated. Also the issues connected with proxemics will be raised as well as the concept of so-called social drama.

A student acquires the capacities of independent learning the literature on the subject as well as develops theoretical bases of chosen methodology which enable him the effective participation in the master’s seminar.

The activity during the discussion on the texts read earlier will be subjected to the assessment.
