A systematic review of the fundamental notions and conceptions concerning social life from the anthropological perspective.

The course is a systematic review of the fundamental notions and conceptions concerning social life from the anthropological perspective: the social organization, community vs. society as the subject of ethnography, the kinship systems, the institution of family, the conception of gender, the role of individuals in society and culture, the processes of socialization and enculturation, the problems of oddity, the processes of communication.

The discussion on the diversity and current changes in social anthropology, as well as the similarities, differences, and dissonances between anthropological and sociological attitudes toward selected aspects of culture and social life, will take place.
