Classes are devoted to the traditional music of the Polish Carpathians. This area, inhabited since the late Middle Ages, combined elements of the cultures of many communities inhabiting these areas: Wołochów, Ruthenians, Lesser Poland, Slovaks, Hungarians, Roma, Jews. Thanks to this, various regional traditions have been created, which in themselves constitute an interesting constellation of musical phenomena. However, from the end of the 19th century to the beginning of the 21st century, many political, religious and economic influences, as well as the intense demographic processes that took place, caused a number of cultural changes, which made tracking the accompanying musical phenomena a fascinating journey in time, and often also in space.
