ECTS credit allocation (and other scores): 3.00 Basic information on ECTS credits allocation principles:
  • the annual hourly workload of the student’s work required to achieve the expected learning outcomes for a given stage is 1500-1800h, corresponding to 60 ECTS;
  • the student’s weekly hourly workload is 45 h;
  • 1 ECTS point corresponds to 25-30 hours of student work needed to achieve the assumed learning outcomes;
  • weekly student workload necessary to achieve the assumed learning outcomes allows to obtain 1.5 ECTS;
  • work required to pass the course, which has been assigned 3 ECTS, constitutes 10% of the semester student load.

Prerequisites (description):

The course is aimed at students who participate in the teacher preparation track in various subjects.

Proficiency in English is required at at least B2 level or higher.

Short description:

The aim of the course is to acquaint students - future teachers of various subjects with approaches , methods and tools for international cooperation at the level of kindergarten, primary and secondary education. Student learn the linguistic, subject-related, intercultural and technological principles required for effective collaboration within eTwinning programme – Teacher Training Initiative. Collaboration with foreign partners is planned – depending on the circumstances.

Full description:

The aim of the course is to acquaint students - future teachers of various subjects with approaches , methods and tools for international cooperation at the level of kindergarten, primary and secondary education. Student learn the linguistic, subject-related, intercultural and technological principles required for effective collaboration within eTwinning programme – Teacher Training Initiative. Collaboration with foreign partners is planned – depending on the circumstances.

After completing the course

- methodology undrpinnings of educational international projects

- examples of good practice in nternational cooperation

- digital tools which support international cooperation

- the principles of maintaining international projects

- the principles of evaluation of the project

student can:

- plan educational tasks in cooperation with foreign partners

- use digital tools for enhancing international cooperation

- manage a collaborative project

- communicate with a partner ina foreign language

- prepare digital educational materials and support learners in doing this

student is ready:

- to recognize the reeds of students regardin their age and interests

- assumes the attitude of a good teacher -- a leader and an assistant in international communication of learners

- undertake international collaboration in education

- make familiar and disseminate the values of the Polish culture in international settings

- develop educational innovations and monitor own professional progress

- understand the importance of intercultural competence and using English as a global language
