ECTS credit allocation (and other scores): 3.00 Basic information on ECTS credits allocation principles:
  • the annual hourly workload of the student’s work required to achieve the expected learning outcomes for a given stage is 1500-1800h, corresponding to 60 ECTS;
  • the student’s weekly hourly workload is 45 h;
  • 1 ECTS point corresponds to 25-30 hours of student work needed to achieve the assumed learning outcomes;
  • weekly student workload necessary to achieve the assumed learning outcomes allows to obtain 1.5 ECTS;
  • work required to pass the course, which has been assigned 3 ECTS, constitutes 10% of the semester student load.

The classes serve to familiarize students with selected issues from the history of French (or Francophone) literature in cross-sectional terms and with references to social sciences.

Learning outcomes:

After completing the course, the student should have the following skills:

1. determining the chronology of literary phenomena in the period covered by the subject of classes,

2. characterising the indicated literary phenomena,

3. analysis of selected topics and aspects of the literary work,

4. comparing authors or texts,

5. establishing connections between indicated literary phenomena.

Assessment methods and assessment criteria:

- mandatory presence (2 absences allowed),

- presentation,

- assessment of participation in class discussions,

- knowledge of indicated reading,

- 2 written tests during the semester,

- a written work prepared in consultation with the teacher,

- oral exam.
