ECTS credit allocation (and other scores):	3.00 Basic information on ECTS credits allocation principles: the annual hourly workload of the student’s work required to achieve the expected learning outcomes for a given stage is 1500-1800h, corresponding to 60 ECTS; the student’s weekly hourly workload is 45 h; 1 ECTS point corresponds to 25-30 hours of student work needed to achieve the assumed learning outcomes; weekly student workload necessary to achieve the assumed learning outcomes allows to obtain 1.5 ECTS; work required to pass the course, which has been assigned 3 ECTS, constitutes 10% of the semester student load.

Short description:	One of the main aims of the subject is to convey profound knowledge on the topic of diagnosis and prognosis of non-adaptation/social maladjustment and to perfect students’ abilities required in the profession of a probation officer. The students are supposed to become competent to plan, implement and critically assess the rehabilitative pedagogy and its different strategies (individual, institutional and environmental).
Full description:	Introductory issues concern: 1. current tendencies in special pedagogy, rehabilitative pedagogy, penitential pedagogy and international standards, and their influence on the job of a probation officer in Poland 2. definition and forms of individualisation in the light of rehabilitative pedagogy, criminal law and penal law, and their influence on the profession of a probation officer 3. stages of diagnosing, prognosing, planning, implementing and assessing the rehabilitative interactions of probation officers 4. exercises in elaborating individual rehabilitation programmes and a critical assessment of the effects of rehabilitative interaction on a ward as well as on the environment and institution

Learning outcomes:	(in Polish) Po zakończeniu procesu uczenia student: W zakresie wiedzy • definiuje podstawowe pojęcia z zakresu metodyki pracy kuratora sądowego • zna procedury konstruowania, wdrażania i ewaluowania projektów rozmaitych działań interwencyjnych w zakresie profilaktyki społecznej, readaptacji społecznej i resocjalizacji W zakresie umiejętności • potrafi samodzielnie i zespołowo określać priorytety projektowanych programów profilaktycznych i naprawczych, uwzględnia w nich potrzeby osób i społeczności objętych tymi programami • dobiera skuteczne strategie, metody i formy interwencji, których celem jest poprawa sytuacji życiowych jednostek, rodzin i społeczności doświadczających problemów i trudności, W zakresie kompetencji społecznych • jest gotowy do nawiązywania relacji pomocowych • jest wrażliwy na zjawiska wymagające interwencji społecznej aktywizuje innych
