  • the annual hourly workload of the student’s work required to achieve the expected learning outcomes for a given stage is 1500-1800h, corresponding to 60 ECTS;

Short description:

The subject of the lectures is presentation the main periods of development of Russian and Soviet State, the mechanisms of its development and causes the lost of dynamics conducting to the disintegration of the empire. Substantial object of the lectures is demonstrating of the changes of political and economic structures of Russia and specific features these processes in particular parts of the former Soviet Union. The lecture shows the forms and methods of the influence of Russian authorities on CIS countries in dynamic approach – changes of the Russian external policy doctrine towards so called „close abroad”, contradictions and conflicts between CIS countries, the attempts undertaken for shape the new form of integration of the post-Soviet area.

The subject of the lectures is presentation the main periods of development of Russian and Soviet State, the mechanisms of its development and causes the lost of dynamics conducting to the disintegration of the empire. Substantial object of the lectures is demonstrating of the changes of political and economic structures of Russia and specific features these processes in particular parts of the former Soviet Union. The lecture shows the forms and methods of the influence of Russian authorities on CIS countries in dynamic approach – changes of the Russian external policy doctrine towards so called „close abroad”, contradictions and conflicts between CIS countries, the attempts undertaken for shape the new form of integration of the post-Soviet area.

The lectures include such problems as the evolution of the Russian ethnic policy, the lost of marxist ideology, growth of the striving to the independence in Soviet republics and disintegration of the Communist state in the process of glasnost and perestroika. Economic and political changes in Gorbachev's and Yeltsin's periods.

Political and ethnic conflicts in Central Asia, and South Caucasus. Russian policy to the Ukraine, Belarus and Moldova. Changes of the Russian Federation internal and international policy in Putin's

period. The characteristics of the contemporary Russian political elite. Dmitri Medvedev and the new expectations
