The first block of classes is a methodological introduction, which will help to create a basis for the study of the practical basis of the classes. The second block includes consideration of the most significant phenomena in socio-political consciousness in the post-Soviet space. The third block is a set of the most acute social issues and cultural perceptions of post-Soviet reality. Territorially, the classes cover the countries of the former Soviet Union, which will be considered not only on the basis of regional division (Eastern Europe, Caucasus, Central Asia, Russia), but also as a complete formation with common processes affecting their self-consciousness and cultural identity. The main goal of the course is to expand knowledge about the post-Soviet region, enable participants of the class to critically evaluate the existing narrative about the post-Soviet region, introduce new methods of analysis from the perspective of subordination and dependency theories and new critical methods of contemporary humanistics. |
