  • the annual hourly workload of the student’s work required to achieve the expected learning outcomes for a given stage is 1500-1800h, corresponding to 60 ECTS;

Short description:

This course of lectures will represent newest trends in mass consciousness of nations of Eastern and

Central Europe, will be explained essence and reasons of changes. Course is a peculiar training of

interpretation and understanding of changing, which taking place in mentality of nations living in this

region. Special attention is focused on such topics as dynamics of ranking of leaders countries,

changing of orientations from eastern to western vector, volatility of economical mood and

processes of the creation national identity. Also important topic will be pecularities of the public

opinion in the electoral periods. In this course will be analyzed most interesting cases of presidents

election in the countries of region.

Full description:

Scientific apparatus for public opinion researches. The notion of rating. Main definitions – types of

ratings (electoral ratings, approval ratings, positive/negative ratings, closed/opened ratings, pair

ratings, etc)

Culture of usage of sociological information. How not to be “a monkey” in sociological data games.

Ratings pictures of main polituical personalities of the region.

Country-by-country cases of personal ratings’ dynamics

Main electoral campaigns in the region and around the worl during last yers

(Zelenski,Trump,Lukashenko, Pashinian, Duda, etc)

Belarus’ case of 2020 peaceful protests

Specifics of national identity in East European Countries
