The seminar has a long tradition. It is devoted to selected issues and figures of the nineteenth century and contemporary, including the completely newest Russian philosophical, religious, theological, social, political and critical literary thought. There are planned classes, the heroes and topics of which will be, among others: Fyodor Dostoyevsky (200th anniversary of birth), recently deceased Andrzej Walicki, Lev Shestov, Orthodox theology, famous collections of texts on the intellectual history of Russia (Signposts, De profundis). We observe the currently published literature on Russian thought, both Polish and foreign, and we often invite you to meetings of the authors of these publications. The object of interest is primarily philosophy, but also the areas intermediate between philosophy and literature, philosophy and religion, and philosophy and political science, as well as the contexts of general philosophy important for Russian thought. The specific topic of the seminar is largely open and results from the participants' thematic proposals. An important aspect of the seminar work is also the translation of Russian philosophical literature. |
