Prerequisites (description): | There is no single socio-economic system and there is no single capitalism today. It is necessary to recognize their multiplicity and the consequences that result from them. |

The aim of the course is to make the students familiar with the concept of the pluralism of contemporary socio-economic systems both in terms of the theoretical approach and the practical approach (based on selected case studies). |

The aim of the course is to make the students familiar with the concept of the pluralism of contemporary socio-economic systems both in terms of the theoretical approach and the practical approach (based on selected case studies). The classes will present the concept of the man in the economy, discuss the relationships between the market, the state and the society as well as analyse the role of the state in the economy. They will focus on contemporary Europe in the context of the other countries and regions in the world as well as the most critical socio-economic challenges Europe is to face in the future. (in Polish) Student lepiej rozumie gospodarczo-społeczne cechy współczesnego świata. Potrafi dokonać analizy współczesnych zjawisk, umieszcza je w szerszym kontekście systemowym. Postrzega rzeczywistość w sposób problemowy, których rozwiązanie wymaga wyborów z aksjologii ideologicznej. |

(in Polish) Zaliczenie końcowe w formie: pisemnej, składającej się z dwóch pytań otwartych. Możliwe, w przypadkach niejasnych, pytania ustne. Źródła wiedzy niezbędnej do egzaminu: znajomość treści wykładów i wskazanej literatury. |
