Short description:	This course is designed to familiarize students with issues in Latin America.
Full description:	The course aims at updating and deepening students' knowledge of the most burning problems of contemporary Latin America and examines the social, political, and cultural aspects of the modern Latin American countries and society. The classes are based on active participation of students, both when acqiuring information and when analyzing given problems. Students take active part in discussions.

Assessment methods and assessment criteria:	- Attendance (20 % of the final grade ) - Class participation and representation concerning the events that took place in Latina America (30 % of the final grade) - Final test ( 50 % of the final grade )
