Punkty ECTS i inne: 4.00 Podstawowe informacje o zasadach przyporządkowania punktów ECTS:
  • roczny wymiar godzinowy nakładu pracy studenta konieczny do osiągnięcia zakładanych efektów uczenia się dla danego etapu studiów wynosi 1500-1800 h, co odpowiada 60 ECTS;
  • tygodniowy wymiar godzinowy nakładu pracy studenta wynosi 45 h;
  • 1 punkt ECTS odpowiada 25-30 godzinom pracy studenta potrzebnej do osiągnięcia zakładanych efektów uczenia się;
  • tygodniowy nakład pracy studenta konieczny do osiągnięcia zakładanych efektów uczenia się pozwala uzyskać 1,5 ECTS;
  • nakład pracy potrzebny do zaliczenia przedmiotu, któremu przypisano 3 ECTS, stanowi 10% semestralnego obciążenia studenta.

The course is directed to students with an interest in natural environment of Poland. English is a prerequisite for students participating in common seminars.

The lecture gives general information about natural environment of Poland (geology, relief, climate, hydrology, soils, vegetation, land use, natural landscape types, geographical regions, protected areas - national parks).

Pełny opis:

The lectures will present general information about natural environment of Poland.

1. Landscapes, natural regions, system of natural protections (2h)

2. National parks in Poland; nature in Warsaw (2h)

3. Location of Poland on the background of the geological units of Europe; mineral resources; geological structure of Polish mountains; origin and contemporary development of landforms. (6h).

4. Hydrological structure of Poland. Water resources and water balance of Poland. Hydrological regime of the Polish river. Lakes, reservoirs and off-shore waters of Poland. Extreme events (6h)

5. Seasonal features of climate. Regional differentiation of climate. Climate change and its consequences for ecosystems and society. The impact of climate change on weather in Poland. The climate of mountain areas (Tatra and Sudeten Mountains). Urban climate - case study of Warsaw. Extreme events (4h)

6. Soils, vegetation, animals (6h)
