Short description: |
The aim of the course is to acquaint students with contemporary challenges for sustainable development of cities and city regions, up-to-date tools for management and financing urban development, as well as legislative solutions that help to improve the effectiveness of urbanized areas. The lecture relates to issues such as urban planning, spatial planning, spatial management, urban geography, and links to key documents regulating urban policy. Classes help to better understand the effective management of a city and urban region, as well as to realize the complexity of factors influencing it. Thanks to this, the student is better prepared to work in the municipal office and is able to propose a path to improve city management by building broadly understood partnerships. Classes are important for the discipline of socio-economic geography and spatial management. |
