Brief description
The course on Basics of spatial planning is implemented in the form of lectures and recitations. Lectures cover the theoretical foundations of spatial policy at various scales, issues related to the functioning of spatial planning systems in various European countries, and issues related to planning instruments. The recitations have the character of workshop classes. Students work in groups learning step by step the procedure of spatial development plan preparation and are oblidged to prepare a spatial development plan for a selected area of the city of Warsaw. |

(in Polish) Pozyskanie danych przestrzennych. Metody analiz przestrzennych. Wizualizacja. Głównym celem zajęć jest ćwiczenie praktycznych umiejętności wykorzystania Systemów Informacji Geograficznej (GIS) w pozyskiwaniu danych i analizach przestrzennych w zakresie geografii społeczno-ekonomicznej oraz geografii turystyki. Studenci zapoznają się z funkcjonalnością GIS jako narzędzia do analiz i modelowania złożonych zależności przestrzennych badanych zagadnień. Szczególny nacisk zostanie położony na wykorzystanie różnych modeli danych przestrzennych (wektorowych i rastrowych) i ich integrację jak również na wytwarzanie, pozyskiwanie, edycję i wizualizację danych. Zajęcia będą swoim profilem dostosowane do wymagań słuchaczy, realizujących badania na potrzeby prac magisterskich. |

Brief description
(in Polish) Zajęcia mają za zadanie zapoznać studentów z wybraną problematyką i metodologią z zakresu geografii percepcji oraz dziedzin pokrewnych zajmujących się m.in. postrzeganiem przestrzeni przez wybrane grupy społeczne, etniczne czy kulturowe. Podczas wykładów omawiane są terminologia, kierunki badań oraz metodologia z zakresu geografii percepcji i dziedzin pokrewnych (m.in. socjologia przestrzeni, psychologia środowiskowa) zajmujących się postrzeganiem przestrzeni antropologicznej i przyrodniczej przez wybrane grupy społeczne (np. zbiorowości osiedlowe, grupy młodzieży, seniorów), etniczne (np. mniejszości narodowe) czy kulturowe (np. subkultury). W dyskursie pojawiają się również wątki związane z edukacją regionalną i świadomością zamieszkiwanej przestrzeni (tzw. percepcja "małych ojczyzn"). Podczas ćwiczeń studenci wykonują zadania badawcze (mini-projekty) z wykorzystaniem wybranego narzędzia poznawczego oraz w wybranym poligonie badawczym. |
