(in Polish) Zajęcia poświęcone są znaczeniu dokonań samotnika z Aix-en- Provence dla sztuki 20. wieku, o tytule zaczerpniętym z głośnego obrazu Maurice’a Denis z 1900 roku, na którym rozpoznać można tak ważne postacie ówczesnej sztuki, jak: Edouard Vuillard, Maurice Denis, Paul Serusier, Paul Ranson, Ker-Xavier Roussel i Pierre Bonnard, marszand Ambrois Vollard, krytyk André Mellerio, Odilon Redon oraz żona Maurice’a – Martha Denis. Poddany analizie zostanie wpływ Cézanne'a na twórczość i teorię sztuki ważnych artystów europejskich, w tym polskich, wymienionych powyżej, a także m. in. André Deraina, Davida Hockneya, Kazimierza Malewicza, Pabla Picassa, Józefa Czapskiego, Władysława Strzemińskiego, Zygmunta Waliszewskiego. |

(in Polish) Przedmiotem zajęć w formule wykładu będzie zagadnienie ikonografii (o charakterze religijnym i świeckim) w nowoczesnej sztuce żydowskiej (od lat 70. XIX w. do 1960 r.) w Europie, Izraelu i w Stanach Zjednoczonych. W trakcie zajęć studenci zostaną zaznajomieni z podstawowymi pojęciami tradycji i kultury żydowskiej, a także z kontekstem historycznym analizowanych dzieł. Podczas zajęć akcent zostanie też położony na krytyczną lekturę tekstów dotyczących analizowanych motywów. |

(in Polish) Lektura wybranych fragmentów nowożytnych diariuszy podróży osób udających się do krajów Zachodniej Europy w celach edukacyjnych oraz pełniących funkcje dyplomatyczne (zarówno reprezentujących Rzeczpospolitą, jak też do niej przybywających) będzie miała na celu poznanie reakcji mieszkańców Rzeczypospolitej, którym przyszło zetknąć się z nieznaną wcześniej rzeczywistością, ale także umożliwić rekonstrukcję sposobu postrzegania przez cudzoziemców realiów polsko-litewskich. Formułowane przy okazji komentarze i oceny będą ważną wskazówką dla zrozumienia różnic kulturowych w obrębie Starego Kontynentu. |
