ECTS credit allocation (and other scores): 3.00 Basic information on ECTS credits allocation principles:
  • the annual hourly workload of the student’s work required to achieve the expected learning outcomes for a given stage is 1500-1800h, corresponding to 60 ECTS;
  • the student’s weekly hourly workload is 45 h;
  • 1 ECTS point corresponds to 25-30 hours of student work needed to achieve the assumed learning outcomes;
  • weekly student workload necessary to achieve the assumed learning outcomes allows to obtain 1.5 ECTS;
  • work required to pass the course, which has been assigned 3 ECTS, constitutes 10% of the semester student load.

Short description:

The aim of the course is to present the basic principles of time management, planning your own work, preventing of postponement and creating new ways of self-motivation.

The expected outcome would be broadening possibilities of effective time use and flexible thinking about it.

1. Basic content: task management, organisation of your own work, prioritizing, goal’s setting and achieving, getting things done easily, self – motivation.

2. Methodology – workshop

3. Courses to be chosen (I-III year , general courses)

4. Conditions for receiving a credit – attendance, term paper

Full description:

The aim of the course is to know and practise:

• methods of organisation own actions

• management of operations to do

• ways of collecting information

• an effective attitude to analyse data

• techniqes of work organisation

• elements of results evaluation

• tools enabling operation

• focusing on realisation

• techniques of concentration

• basis of management

• possibilities of control over tasks

• perspectives of change: zoom in – zoom out

• strategies of progressing from targets to action

• systems of counteracting postponing

• methods of motivating and reducing stress

• solving various problems in time

The rated total number of hours a student is required to spend in order to achieve the expected learning outcomes defined for the course: 30 + 15

During and upon the course completion a student will:

• be able to plan his own system of organising time and work

• be able to recognise areas demanding regrouping own workflow

• improve the methods of time management at work and learning

• create a system of information flow

• counteract the chaos and disorder in an effective way

• set his own directions of self-development

• set priorities for the future

• apply intentions in a life

• gain constant control over habits at work

• change the pace of work and rest

• counteract delaying things

• create an effective motivational system

• learn how to deal with problems caused by waste of time

Assessment methods and assessment criteria:

Constant mark – 50%

term paper – 50%
