ECTS credit allocation (and other scores):	3.00 Basic information on ECTS credits allocation principles: the annual hourly workload of the student’s work required to achieve the expected learning outcomes for a given stage is 1500-1800h, corresponding to 60 ECTS; the student’s weekly hourly workload is 45 h; 1 ECTS point corresponds to 25-30 hours of student work needed to achieve the assumed learning outcomes; weekly student workload necessary to achieve the assumed learning outcomes allows to obtain 1.5 ECTS; work required to pass the course, which has been assigned 3 ECTS, constitutes 10% of the semester student load. view allocation of credits

Prerequisites (description):	Knowledge of the main categories of poetics, aesthetics and rhetoric, as well as the ability to comparatively analyze and interpret texts of culture.

Short description:	Comparative analysis and interpretation of literature, film, cartoon, advertisement, internet and computer games distinguishes variants of categories of rhetoric, poetics, aesthetic and semiotics in the contemporary texts of culture. Especially: literary and unliterary communication; the sender - audience relationships in the contemporary media; polisemiotic and multimedia rhetorical figures, narration, time and space in art, popular culture and journalism - their aesthetic, communicative and persuasive functions; intertextuality in literature, film, computer games and internet; motifs and subjects, e.g.: humor, cruelty, erotic, beauty in different texts of culture, from the earliest time up to now.

Learning outcomes:	(in Polish) Celem kursu jest interaktywne kształcenie umiejętności opisu i interpretacji porównawczej przekazów zróżnicowanych medialnie i stylistycznie, kształtowanie rozumiejącego, krytycznego ich odbioru. Po ukończeniu kursu student potrafi dostrzec i opisać różnice w sposobie kreowania tekstów różnych mediów, interpretować porównawczo te przekazy w kontekście związków i interakcji, analogii i różnic między nimi. Potrafi też rozpoznawać mechanizmy perswazji jawnej i ukrytej, oceniać formy perswazji medialnej.
