The course of lectures offers an overview of Scottish history and culture from the beginning of time to the Union of Parliaments in 1707. The aim is to provide students with elementary knowledge concerning history, geography, population, culture, art, and economy of Scotland through her history with the purpose to allow a better understanding of modern Scotland. The course is intended to serve as an opportunity to broaden students’ knowledge of Scottish history and culture, discuss the debatable issue, and give them an opportunity to present (in the form of multimedia presentations) their own personal interests connected with Scotland. Students who take the course within the 4EU+ project will take it asynchronically – they will have access to prerecorded lectures and other materials via Google Classroom. The final exam will take place as an online test. |
