ECTS credit allocation (and other scores): 3.00 Basic information on ECTS credits allocation principles:
  • the annual hourly workload of the student’s work required to achieve the expected learning outcomes for a given stage is 1500-1800h, corresponding to 60 ECTS;
  • the student’s weekly hourly workload is 45 h;
  • 1 ECTS point corresponds to 25-30 hours of student work needed to achieve the assumed learning outcomes;
  • weekly student workload necessary to achieve the assumed learning outcomes allows to obtain 1.5 ECTS;
  • work required to pass the course, which has been assigned 3 ECTS, constitutes 10% of the semester student load.

Short description:

A seminar on the culture of contemporary Spain in a form of seminar in Spanish language.

Full description:

A seminar on the culture of contemporary Spain in a form of seminar in Spanish language. The most important elements of the contemporary Spain focused on culture will be analysed. The texts chosen to be commented give students an opportunity to see various points of view on that subject.

Bibliography:

Literature will be passed before every seminar. There will be also films related to the analysed subjects presented.

Demonstrates comprehension of the cultural dynamics occurring in Mediterranean countries, particularly Spain, and their significance for the entire continent. (K_W01)

Recognizes the historical and cultural connections between the countries and peoples of the northern Mediterranean coastline, with a

specific focus on Spain. (K_W03)

Possesses a well-structured, advanced, and comprehensive knowledge of the language and culture of a chosen Mediterranean region (ie. Spanish), leading to specialization. (K_W10)

Exhibits the ability to comprehend cultural texts written in a foreign language (Spanish), including scientific papers. (K_W11)

Proficiently presents individual and collaborative academic work in an appropriate manner, such as a well-structured and well-supported argument, both in written form and through oral presentations (such as conferences or discussions). (K_U06)

Adheres to ethical principles, including those related to copyright, and understands the proper use of data sources, including digital sources. (K_U06)

Assessment methods and assessment criteria:

Seminar will be credited according to the attendance list and an active participation.

Number of possible absences – 2.

The third and forth absence could be credited individually.

Five and more absences make no possibility to credit the subject.
