Commercial law is a discipline of private law covering a set of regulations relating to legal relationships involving entrepreneurs. Commercial law is not a homogenous domain, but a complex of diverse regulations, whose common denominator is the connection with business activities undertaken by entrepreneurs.

The practical seminar deals only with commercial companies law. Other issues - i.e. general issues of commercial law, commercial contracts law, insolvency and restructuring law, securities law, law of commercial arbitration - are covered by the lectures.

For the purposes of the exam students must demontrate knowledge of the issues discussed both during the lecture and the practical seminar.

Family law is one of five traditionally distinguished areas of civil law .It governs civil law family-related issues such as: pecuniary and non-pecuniary aspects of marriage, consanguinity, affinity, care and guardianship. The classes is to explain basic concepts of family law, including in particular: entering into marriage, nullity, divorce, separation, matrimonial property regimes, establishing and denial of paternity and maternity, the relationship between parents and children, adoption, maintenance obligation, care and guardianship.

Law of inheritance is one of five traditionally distinguished areas of civil law (the remaining four areas are: general part of civil law, property law, law of obligations and family law). It governs civil law consequences of natural person’s death. The classes is to explain basic concepts of inheritance law (e.g. inheritance, testament, legacy), transfer of property mortis causa mechanism, rights and obligations of the heirs.

(in Polish) Ćwiczenia w praktyczny sposób uzupełniają tematykę wykładu. Uczestniczący w nich studenci biorą udział w licznych praktycznych zadaniach oraz symulacjach z wykorzystaniem specjalistycznego sprzętu oraz akcesoriów kryminalistycznych. Ćwiczenia kończą się symulacją oględzin miejsca zdarzenia w toku których wykorzystywana jest wiedzaoraz umiejętności zdobyte przez semestr zajęć.

(in Polish) Zakres materiału omawianego na ćwiczeniach jest zbliżony do zakresu tematycznego wykładu, jednak go nie zastępuje. Podczas gdy przedmiotem wykładu jest wyłożenie zagadnień w sposób teoretyczny, o tyle ćwiczenia są skupione na wiedzy i umiejętnościach praktycznych.

Sposób prowadzenia zajęć zależy od ćwiczeniowca.

(in Polish) Przedmiot stanowi rozwinięcie i uszczegółowienie problematyki prezentowanej na wykładzie. Jego podstawowym zadaniem poznawczym jest przybliżenie studentom wiedzy o prawie jako swoistym zjawisku społecznym i kulturowym, zapoznanie ze społeczną rolą i znaczeniem prawa, a także z uwarunkowaniami, którym prawo podlega. Zadanie to będzie realizowane przez zagadnień szczegółowych prezentujących teoretyczny i empiryczny dorobek socjologii. Przedmiot prezentuje także podstawowe pojęcia socjologii ogólnej wykorzystywane przez socjologię prawa.

(in Polish) Zajęcia przygotowują do zdania egzaminu z doktryn polityczno-prawnych. Mają na celu zapoznanie studentów z problematyką przedmiotu. Zadanie to zostanie zrealizowane poprzez przedstawienie ideologicznych kierunków współczesnego myślenia o społeczeństwie, państwie i prawie, omówienie problematyki wartości, zasad i praw podstawowych we współczesnej demokracji liberalnej oraz zarysowanie doktrynalnych podstaw demokratycznego państwa prawnego.
