(in Polish) Przedmiot prezentuje polskie prawo wyznaniowe, zwłaszcza regulacje wolności sumienia i wyznania oraz stosunków państwo - kościół w prawie III RP. Ukazuje również regulację stosunków wyznaniowych w perspektywie historycznej, w okresie II Rzeczypospolitej i w Polsce Ludowej oraz w ujęciu komparatystycznym, na tle rozwiązań prawnych czołowych państw demokratycznych.

The aim of the lecture is to provide basic information and knowledge concerning canon law within the institutional, organizational, procedural and legal structure of the Catholic Church. The main focus is based upon the legal analysis of the Code of canon law (1983). The analysis would be supplemented with comparative perspective, based on other systems of law and with a philosopical interpretation of current doctrines and theories of canon law.

The course focuses on analyzing key concepts in contract law from the comparative perspective of the French, German and English laws. At the beginning of each class, the students will be introduced to definitions and concepts to be considered in depth during the class. This will be followed by a presentation of relevant national rules in order to allow for comparison of how different legal systems deal with the same issues. Against this background, the final part of each class will be devoted to discussing comparative advantageousness and effectiveness of the solutions analyzed. Participants are expected to contribute to the discussions.

The first part of the course is dedicated to international law. The second part of the course is dedicated to the legal framework regarding intellectual property in EU law.

(in Polish) Podczas zajęć studenci uczestniczą w symulacjach typowych sytuacji, które zdarzają się w praktyce prawnika specjalizującego się w prawie pracy.

W tym celu studenci, przed zajęciami, otrzymują od prowadzących scenariusze przedstawiające symulowaną sytuację faktyczną związaną ze stosowaniem prawa pracy.

Podczas zajęć odbywają się symulacje spotkań pracodawcy z pracownikiem oraz symulacje postępowań sądowych w sprawach z zakresu pracy.

Zajęcia zakładają pracę studentów samodzielnie i w kilkuosobowych grupach.

(in Polish) Przedmiot „Bazy aktów prawnych. Kurs w ramach certyfikacji LEX” obejmuje swoim zakresem program Certyfikacji LEX. Podczas zajęć studenci uzyskają wiedzę o bazach aktów prawnych i umiejętność korzystania z systemu informacji prawnej. Wiedza ta jest potrzebna do dokonania legal researchu.

(in Polish) Legisprudencja to interdyscyplinarna nauka o racjonalnej legislacji, regulacji i polityce prawa. Odwołuje się do dorobku nauk prawnych, ekonomicznych, socjologicznych i politycznych.

Zajęcia przybliżą studentom historyczne i współczesne formy tworzenia prawa i regulowania życia zbiorowego, przedstawią skuteczne, efektywne i zgodne z wartościami demokratycznymi sposoby określania treści i formy prawa oraz innych regulacji. Pozwolą lepiej zrozumieć problemy trapiące współczesną legislację w Polsce i za granicą oraz przygotować się do pełnienia ról zawodowych związanych z tworzeniem prawa i regulacją.

Zajęcia mogą być przydatne dla studentów prawa, administracji, nauk politycznych, ekonomii, socjologii i innych nauk społecznych.

Mergers and Acquisitions (M&A) means transactions consisting in sale of shares in companies as well as sale of other assets (including an enterprise). M&A transactions are the key practise element of any corporate department in a law firm.

The purpose of the course is for the participants to learn how the M&A process is conducted step by step, what are the key issues, what is the terminology as well as what is the economic background behind the legal solutions.

The participant will gain sufficient knowledge, both as to applicable terminology and otherwise, to participate in the running of an M&A transaction.

The course lecturer, apart from his academic background, has 15+ years of experience in one of the leading international firm, working on M&A transactions.

(in Polish) W ramach zajęć prowadzący przedstawia uczestnikom poszczególne narzędzia prawne służące ochronie przyrody. Omawia je z wykorzystaniem regulacji prawnych, orzecznictwa oraz poglądów prezentowanych w literaturze naukowej. Prowadzący wyjaśnia uczestnikom, jak praktycznie korzysta się z danego narzędzia prawnego ochrony przyrody. Kolejno odbywa się dyskusja nad omawianą materią między uczestnikami zajęć, w tym co do oceny danego narzędzia prawnego ochrony przyrody, jego wad i zalet oraz luk konstrukcyjnych.
